Flights from Aberdeen to London City will no longer run

Aberdeen loses another key route to London

Aberdeen airport will no longer fly to London City as of next month.

The route is currently run by Eastern Airways on behalf of Flybe and has been operated via Newcastle since the start of the year. However, it is felt that it is no longer "sustainable" and will be terminating on Sunday 7th April.

This is the second of such a decision this year, after Easyjet cancelled its Aberdeen to London Gatwick services back in February. Aberdeen airport now only offers flights to three London airports: Heathrow, Luton and Southend.

In a world where air travel is becoming increasingly more common why is Aberdeen airport cutting of its links?
