Brum student Lily Owsley has just won Olympic gold
The women’s hockey team took gold over the Netherlands
Suzie Stone21-year-old Brum student Lily Owsley has just won gold at the Rio Olympics.
GB’s women’s hockey team beat the Netherlands, whose national sport is hockey, in a penalty shoot-out.
Lily, who studies Sports Science at Brum, has 98 caps to her name, as well as 25 goals. She’s also been voted the ‘FIH Rising Star of the Year’.
Congrats to Lily and the rest of the team!
