A car smashed into a house on Gulson Road last night after a car chase

The car crashed into a family’s property at around 10pm yesterday evening


A silver Mercedes ploughed through a brick wall into a house in Coventry late yesterday evening following a high speed car chase with Police.

The impact completely destroyed the front wall and heavily damaged a window to the property.

Firemen were also at the scene

West Midlands Police told The Tab: "A car hit a house in Gulson Road, Coventry, after failing to stop for officers at around 10.35pm Sunday 4 March.

"A man was detained by officers and taken to hospital for assessment. No-one was injured inside the property."

The car allegedly almost hit three pedestrians. The property has since been boarded up. There are no reports of injuries from the incident.

Firemen were also at the scene to asses the damage.

Speaking to The Tab, the homeowner described the shocking moment: "We were watching TV and suddenly there's a car in our front room.

"We came outside and loads of people were surrounding our house."

The damage has yet to be cleared up

51 vehicle related crimes were reported in the CV1 area in January alone.
