Coventry University want ‘as much face to face teaching as possible’ in September

Coventry University have announced that they want to give students as “much face to face teaching as possible” in September.

The plans were announced on the Coventry University website and emphasise the main priority is “the safety and well being of our students and staff”.

The statement reads: “It is our intention to open our campuses within whatever restrictions exist at the time and even where classes are delivered in new ways, we will be welcoming new and returning students to our facilities. We are working with accommodation providers, the towns and cities where we are located and others to offer the fullest possible experience of being away at university, in the safest way possible.

“We are also developing forms of teaching and engagement using technology yo allow us to best replicate the experience of being on campus, for those students who are unable to travel in September”.

This comes after Coventry University quickly moved all lectures and seminars to an online format following the COVID-19 outbreak. Campus was shut down and students were sent home to complete their studies during lockdown.

The statement ends with a promise to release more details of the statement over the next few weeks.
