BREAKING: Outdoor graduation celebrations will take place at the Castle this August
They are open to 2020 and 2021 graduates
Edinburgh university has just announced that summer 2021 graduation celebrations will take place in a series of events held at Edinburgh Castle, between 26th and 28th August.
Students who graduated in Summer/Winter 2020, and Summer 2021 can book tickets for the events on a first-come-first-served basis, on this webpage from noon on Monday 19th July.
Each attendee will also be able to bring two guests.
Those wishing to attend need to choose which date out of the three they would like. There are no specific dates set for cohort groups, so the university is recommending booking early for graduates wishing to celebrate alongside their friends.
For the celebrations each graduate will be gowned, with robes being picked up at McEwan Hall.
The events are walking events, and each graduate will be given a specific start time to assemble on the Castle esplanade.
They will then walk over the Castle drawbridge, proceeding to the Great Hall, accompanied by performers from The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
More information about the events can be found here.
