Vaccine passports in Scotland are now enforceable by law

Viola BakerAs of today, Scotland’s vaccine passport scheme is now enforceable by law.
People will only be allowed entry into nightclubs and large events if they can show that they’ve had two doses of a Covid vaccine.
While the vaccine passport scheme came into effect on 1 October, businesses were given a 17 day grace period to sort out the practicalities of checking people’s vaccine status.
The vaccine passport scheme applies to anyone over the age of 18 wanting entry into certain venues and events, such as: nightclubs, adult entertainment venues, unseated indoor events with more than 500 people, unseated outdoor events with more than 4000 people, and any event with more than 10,000 people
If you were vaccinated in Scotland, you can download the NHS Scotland Covid Status app to prove your vaccination status. People vaccinated in England can use the NHS App to show their Covid pass at venues.
