We asked students who they think deserves to sit on the Iron Throne
Is it too late to bring back Ned Stark?
Given that Season 7 has only two episodes left and we’ll likely hurtle through Season 8, finding out who will eventually sit on the Iron Thrones may come sooner rather than later. Over its run, we have seen many potential contenders beheaded, stabbed, burned, poisoned, eaten, stabbed, drowned, burned, squished. You get my point. We asked students who they wanted to win the Game of Thrones choosing from characters both alive and those who sadly left us too early, brought back Lady Stoneheart-style.

I think Danerys is going mad, so not her; Cersei is already mad, so not her either; Jon would make a bad leader as he doesn’t want to lead; Arya is too hot-blooded; Sansa is too easily swayed; Littlefinger is too selfish; Varys isn’t transparent enough. Personally I think Robb Stark as the hottest character thus far should be resurrected and installed as Ruler of the Seven Kingdoms just for being so fucking gorgeous

Tyrion. Without a doubt. Sure he’s a Lannister and we all know how rotten they all are, but “a Lannister always pays his debts” and as we saw last episode, the Iron throne owes the Iron bank lots of gold coin, so he’d certainly be a favourable candidate I’d say. That and he also seems to get along well with dragons. I’d LIKE Tyrion to end up sitting there some how, but I still THINK it’s team Jon all the way. I mean, the series must be called “A Song of ICE and FIRE” for a reason.

Littlefinger, because he’s the smartest person in the whole programme, everything that’s happened up to the start of this season has been of his design, and the only downside to him is he’s a sucker for Sansa’s northern charm.

I am going to give Margaery the benefit of the doubt and say she somehow survived incineration by wildfire. I firmly believe in the theory that she’s in the bell that bounced its way across King’s Landing and given Robb Stark is coming back, why not Margaery too? I mean she is smart knowing how to manipulate her relationship with the High Sparrow and Tommen to gain power and leverage at least partly over the former and certainly over the latter. She manages to drive a wedge between mother and son – this has gotta be impressive given how much Cersei is protective over her children. She always rocks the latest King’s Landing fashion looking fabulous 24/7 adorned with the proud symbol of her house, the golden rose. Although it may be debatable about how much she actually loves the common people, she puts on a good show anyhow and in the world of Game of Thrones, any decency is welcome no matter how superficial. She has the sassiest grandmother of all time and is not afraid to trade a few barbs herself. While Loras is the sword and the muscle, Margaery is certainly the brains and here’s to hoping she may surprise us before this show is up.

A leader needs to want to be a leader, so you can keep your Robb Starks and your Jon Snows, Daenerys is the gal for the job. She has badass dragons, ruling is basically in her blood, and she’s already using the title, so we might as well just let her have it. Plus, it would be interesting to see where the story would go if she turned out to be as mad as her daddy.
