Leeds students host halls party just hours after third lockdown introduced

The videos are captioned ‘Boris said what?’ and ‘What was that Boris ahahah?’

Leeds Beckett students hosted a wild party just a few hours after the third national lockdown was introduced, MailOnline reports.

Snapchat videos posted to Twitter show a densely-packed party at a hall of residence, with loud music playing.

The videos are captioned “Boris said what?” and “What was that Boris ahahah?”

One student shared the videos on Twitter, writing: “I’m exposing these uni students because they’re ruining it for the rest of us…”

The student told MailOnline: “The video was posted last night [04/01/21] on Snapchat after midnight and it was in halls of residence.

“Myself and my best friend were totally outraged and disgusted seeing that… it’s ruining it for the rest of us who just want to see family and friends but stick to the rules.

“The person that filmed this video is a serial Covid party goer – videos such as these being posted on a regular basis.”

A Leeds Beckett University spokesperson said: “The health and wellbeing of our students, staff and the wider community is of the highest priority to us.

“All students have been made aware of their personal and collective responsibility when it comes to safety, social distancing and government guidelines on Covid-19.

“Where concerns are raised with regards to any breaches of the rules we act swiftly to thoroughly investigate and take action as necessary.”
