UCLU sport naked calendar went on sale today

Your sexy new year’s resolution

The day you’ve been waiting for has arrived: the UCLU naked calendar is now available to buy.

Teams including rugby, lacrosse, hockey, football and dodgeball have all stripped off for it, and they’re only £9 with all profits going to charity.

The charity chosen for this year is MIND – a mental health charity offering advice and support for anyone experiencing a mental illness, a decision thought to be suitable since students are often at risk of being affected by such issues.

The best?

If you’ve already ordered your naked calendar, it will be available to pick up this week from the CSC reception, so head on over and snap it up.

Women’s rugby player Emili, who features in the calendar, told The Tab: “The shoot was really fun, the photographer made everything seem really normal.

“It was definitely a surreal experience though, because obviously taking naked photos is a bit of a taboo. Still I’m happy with how it turned out.

“It’s in black and white so it’s super flattering and they managed to get a really nice photo of everyone. Obviously I’m biased for thinking women’s rugby looks the best.”

Several sports teams got involved

Nick Edmonds, the Union’s Sports Officer organised the calendar said: “The whole process of producing the calendar, while stressful, will be more than worth it as we hopefully raise a lot of money for such a good cause.

“It’s been great to see all the teams club together so well, and have a lot of fun in the process. To support mind was a unanimous decision: with students a particularly at-risk group with all that goes along with essay deadlines and exams, it is a charity that we can all get behind.”
