Try out most of the sports UCL has to offer in This Girl Can taster sessions being held this week
Feeling like you want to try out a sport but don’t want to pay the membership to then never turn up again? The Students Union at UCL is holding sports events all this week for “This Girl Can”. It’s a national campaign funded by the National Lottery whose main goal is to celebrate women being active.
UCL’s “This Girl Can” week is running from Monday, January 24th to Sunday 30th January. All sessions are beginner and women-friendly. Check out some of the events being held that you can get involved in.
Yoga
On Monday, you can head down to the Bloomsbury Theatre Building for Hatha Yoga Flow. Hatha Flow is the branch of yoga that concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures, breathing techniques, and meditation with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. Held from 12.00 to 13.00, tickets are £3 for a beginner-friendly session.
