AnonThe Freshers’ week Master Pass goes on sale tomorrow and as usual the Soton Tab have some gossip ahead of the big SUSU announcement.
Radio 1 DJ and Southampton alumni Chris Stark is confirmed to be back for the Welcome Parties, which will be split over three days after feedback from last year’s freshers. Chris is always a popular DJ at SUSU events, expect to hear plenty of crowd-pleasing hits! Chris has reached internet stardom for his interviews with Mila Kunis and more recently Jennifer Aniston (check it out here).
Barbados-born hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash is expected to perform at the Freshers’ Ball. The 55 year-old has been DJing since the 1970s but with an appearance on the DJ Hero game and last year an hour-long live performance on Channel 4 he’s clearly as popular as ever.
Also making an appearance on the 5th of October will be up and coming ska-pop group Scarlett’s Roses. The south Londoners have made a splash at Manchester and Brighton Pride events and count Jessie J among their celebrity fans. They confirmed their presence via Twitter:
