Body found in search for missing junior doctor Rose Polge

The Southampton graduate has been missing since February 12th.


A body believed to be that of missing Southampton grad junior doctor Rose Polge has been found.

Dr Polge, 25, who was reported to have left a suicide note referencing Health Minister Jeremy Hunt, has been missing since February 12.

Her car was found abandoned on Ansteys Cove in Devon, where she worked before her disappearance.

The body found has not been formally identified but the police have notified the family of Dr Polge.

A police spokesman said “On Friday the 1st April, a female body was recovered from the sea east of Portland Headland, Dorset.

“Police are currently working on the belief that the body is that of 25-year old missing person Rose Polge, from Torquay.

“Devon and Cornwall Police are working with Dorset Police and the Coroner’s Office on this matter, and await the results of the formal identification.”
