Soton is the best uni in the country for Civil and Electrical Engineering
AND we’re second best for Music!!
The University of Southampton has ranked first for both Civil Engineering and Electronic & Electrical Engineering in the Guardian’s University League Tables 2021.
91 per cent of Civil Engineering students at Southampton were satisfied with their course. 91.9 per cent of Electronic and Electrical Engineering students were satisfied with their course.
Southampton also ranked second for Music, one place above Oxford – yes the actual University of Oxford! Southampton obtained a score of 95.6 out of 100 for Music and 90.6 per cent of students were satisfied with the course.
The university placed 6th for Philosophy, level with Warwick, and beating universities such as KCL and LSE.
Overall, the Southampton ranked 23rd in the country rising one place from last year. The Guardian gave Southampton a total score of 67.1 out of 100. 84.8 per cent of Southampton students were satisfied with their course and 84.8 per cent were also satisfied with teaching whilst 71 per cent were satisfied with feedback.
Solent ranked 74th overall and 15th for Fashion & Textiles. Solent ranked 8th in the UK for Law, whilst Southampton ranked 33rd for the same subject. Solent gained a score of 83 out of 100 for Law whilst Southampton obtained a score of 70.
The University of Bournmouth ranked 56th overall in the country, whilst our varsity rivals Portsmouth ranked 66th.
