With Freshers’ Week firmly in the past, you’ll undoubtedly be twiddling your thumbs, wondering when you can finally dust off the ol’ black tie. The Stand has come to your rescue with the summery of the best things to do over the next few weeks.
25th – Sir David Edward QC Lecture on the Constitutional Implications of the Independence referendum – The Centre for Global Constitutionalism invite you to a talk on the most talked about vote of recent history.
26th – Children’s Gala – The Save the Children Society invite you to their first black tie event of the year – Full tickets include a three-course dinner, table gifts and full party access. All proceeds go to charity.
26th – Music is Love Presents MESSENGER SOUNDSYSTEMS – The Stand, STAR and African Caribbean Society present a night of heavy beats, reggae and dub. 600 capacity so get your tickets fast!
27th – Secret Garden Party hosted by the Lumsden Club – The lovely ladies of the Lumsden Club invite you to their Festival meets Garden Party event at the Craigsanquhar Hotel and Country Estate. Expect fun, amazing raffle prizes, and a proper send off to summer. And it’s all for charity, what’s not to like.
4th October – Luvians Wine Fayre – Scotland’s oldest independent wine fayre! For £15 you’ll be able to try over 200 wines, ciders and beers (Taxi home advised). Tickets available for all Luvians shops.
4th – Opening Ball – The KK boys invite you to the OFFICIAL start to the black tie calendar. Champagne, bagpipes, music, freshers everywhere. The St Andrews’ stereotype’s wet dream. Get your mitts on some tix.
Go to everything, go to nothing, get cray, get crunk and go hard. Party like no-one’s watching.
