Bomb in Brighton linked to ongoing terrorist threat

A bomb in Brighton has led to the closure of Queen’s Road, Spring Gardens, Kew Street, Zion Gardens, Windsor Street, Titchbourne Street & Church Street.

A letter bomb was sent to the Army Recruitment Centre on Queens Road and the bomb disposal units are currently working to diffuse the situation.

Letter bombs have also been sent to Army Recruitment Centres in Oxford, Slough, Kent, Chatham, Reading, Canterbury & Aldershot.

The Ministry of Defense has acknowledged the ongoing “security incidents” and have warned residents in these areas and military personnel to be “extra vigilant”.
