This crazy place of even crazier shops has been voted as the best thing about Sussex University. As on reader said: “It’s one of those hidden gems that most locals know and is away from the beaten path. Even if you don’t want to buy anything it is such a cool place to visit”.
It seems shopping for us cash-strapped students is the best thing about Sussex.
Coming in second place, with only a couple votes in it, was the sea front. Legendary for its fish and chips, beach clubs, and the pier, the sea front is perfect whether you want to relax on the beach with revision or want to party the night away at Coalition.
A long way back in third place was East Slope and Falmer bar, enjoying a clear lead over our Yik Yak game which came fourth. These bars are extremely memorable for all Sussex students who wake in an alcoholic haze on Wednesdays after SKINT. We salute you East Slope and Falmer.
An honourable mention goes to the SU which came bottom. Many have praised the hard work of the union for arranging events and acting as a spokesperson to support the student voice but it only attracted an abysmal eight votes, finishing below The Globe as the least-popular “best” thing about Sussex.
