Counter protest organised for far-right march this Saturday

The ‘South Coast Resistance’ will be protesting against allowing refugees in the country

The ‘South coast resistance’ (Or ‘Pie and Mash squad’) will be descending down to Brighton to protest against the uptake of refugees, calling for a close of the UK border.

The group, whose motto is ‘5w, we go where we want’ (The 5w meaning 5 words), have been involved in the Dover clashes back in January over similar modus operandi .

The group is openly fascist and nationalist with many members sporting Swastikas, the Union Jack, and placards with racist tag lines at their meetings.

The group doesn’t seem to have a figurehead, and there is little regarding what they truly stand for apart from being anti-EU and having general brutish fascist tendencies at marches.

The group merely seems to want to start trouble wherever they go, wishing to clash with ‘lefties’.

Brighton has come out in full force to organise a counter protest. The English disco lovers (who call themselves the ‘EDL’ as a pun against another far-right group) are preparing for the protest by staging a counter protest of their own. Rather than stand around, cause trouble and look for a scrap, the EDL will be dressing up in disco gear to try and spread happiness to raise money for refugees.

The english disco lovers look like a much more friendlier bunch

The counter-protest is expected to be vastly more populated than the actual protest itself with many venturing around the country to come down and unite against fascism.

This is not the first time that far right groups have protested in Sussex. On the 27 April 2014 around 80 supporters of fascism came down to Brighton in which 1000+ of counter-protesters, including the likes of the English disco lovers, came out in defiance.
