Spencer Matthews just proposed to his girlfriend on a Lion King backstage theatre tour

Spencer Matthews' serial cheating on Made in Chelsea is what made it iconic. But times have changed: he's finally settled down with model Vogue Williams and they announced their engagement last night.

Spencer clearly didn't waste any money on the ring – it's currently being valued at £150,000. So you'd expect the proposal to have been just as extra right? Something like getting down on one knee on a private yacht or during dinner in a two Michelin star restaurant. Or, I don't know, at least a dinner at the top of the Shard.

But no, Spencer Matthews proposed to his new fiancee on a Lion King tour of the Lyceum Theatre after a performance.

Spencer and Vogue are no ordinary couple. So why they're acting like they're some Prezzo going, "Dinner with this one" couple from the depths of Kent, is a mystery to everyone.

Maybe they had their first date there. Or maybe Mufasa holds some sort of special significance to their relationship.

But it does seem like most people are actually really happy for them. Okay maybe not everyone because Louise is probably bitter and/or crying again. Let's hope Ryan doesn't follow Spencer's footsteps and propose to Louise in the gym.
