This is how to get that plastic face filter on Instagram

Last year was the year of the HUJI cam, that 90s filter everyone was obsessed with using. But this year, the Instagram community has decided to fast forward to the future. Everyone's using these alien-like glossy face filters that make your whole face look like it's covered in Vaseline. Introducing: The Instagram plastic face filter.

The genius behind these user generated futuristic Instagram filters is Johanna Jaskowska, a Berlin-based visual artist.

A few weeks ago, her Instagram account was followed just by friends and family, but now she's got over 250k followers because people are desperate to use her face filters. Johanna has already been interviewed by Vogue and I-D magazine.

So how do you get the Instagram plastic face filter?

Step 1: Follow @johwska on Instagram.

Step 2: When you follow the Instagram account, there should be a pack of four face filters available at the bottom. One of which will be the Instagram plastic face filter.

Step 3: Go on your Instagram stories and the face filters should appear scattered throughout your normal ones. This one is called "Beauty 3000."

Et voila. It will honestly it makes your face look like a piece of art from every angle.
