‘Are you in the right headspace?’ is Twitter’s new ‘I’m actually at capacity’ meme

This would give me sooo much anxiety


It seems like it was only yesterday that the "I'm at capacity" meme blew up. But now there's been another tweet that's gone viral for suggesting how to break bad news to someone. And it's very anxiety-inducing.

What is the are you in the right headspace meme?

A user named @YanaBirt wrote the tweet a few days ago. They said: "I just want to say, a lot of y’all dump information on your friends at the wrong time without their consent. If you know it’s something that could hurt them, ask permission before you decide to be messy. Please."

Then they recommended writing a text: "Are you in the right headspace to receive information that could possibly hurt you?"

Obviously Twitter is not having any of it. Most people are saying that this is possibly the worst way of breaking news to someone.

And then a few hours later, the whole of Twitter started making memes about the "are you in the right headspace" text:
