STORM DAMAGE CONTROL: SOME TIPS TO SURVIVE ST JUDE

1) Dress appropriately

Shield yourself against the rains. This might be impossible against these gales, but wellies and a raincoat will protect you from getting wet (or at least try to)

2) Arrange alternative accommodation

Thor releases soon and Britain’s flooded… Coincidence much?

If you’re house has been damaged by Thor’s wrath, then it might be a good time to bribe your mate to let you stay over. Washing a few dishes is a small price to pay for a sturdy roof over your head.

3) Invest in alternative modes of transport

Facing the storm like a boss.

For some of us going to lectures or placements is imperative. So if you don’t have wellies or want to avoid being showered by muddy water by the rush hour traffic, use a taxi or bus. Plus, Cardiff taxi drivers love to chat, so that’s rainy day entertainment sorted!

4) Live the good ol’ life

Some parts are experiencing technical difficulties. So if you don’t have Internet (Oh! The horror!), whip out the card deck! Play some Snap or Poker (you might as well try to make some money in this God awful weather…)

And in case you’re lights are out, then enjoy a candle light cuppa with your flatmates.

5) Take some photos

Taking a selfie WHILST holding an umbrella.. who’s up for the challenge?

6) Just chill out!
