When is Cardiff Freshers Week?

Cardiff University freshers week is from 17th September 2015 to 27th September 2015.

A blurry 10 days of raucous boozy antics.

Here’s a break down of all the key events and must know info.

Move in dates for all halls are 16th-20th September 2015.

17th -Warm up (Y plas-22.00-03.00)
Guest DJ Huw Stephens and a photo booth

18th – Welcome party (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
Coloured t-shirts (given to you in freshers welcome pack) which represent your halls

19th – UV Rave Vs Paint (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
UV Rave with glow sticks in Y Plas and Paint party in Great Hall

20th – Heroes & Villans (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
DJ Beat a Maxx

21st & 22nd – Societies Fair (Students Union 12-6pm)

21st – Shake (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
Brand spanking new club night run by the legends behind bump and grind

22nd – Where’s Wally (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
It’s all in the title – don your stripes

23rd – Athletic Union Fair (Students Union 12-6pm)

23rd – Yolo Relaunch (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
Never call this night YOLO, it is The Lash

24th – Alphabet Party (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
Fancy dress based on the first letter of your name

25th – Beach Fest (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
Full moon style party with surf simulator and beach bar

26th – Flux (Y Plas: 22.00-03.00)
A Cardiff Classic but with foam

27th – Freshers Ball (Y Plas: 22.00-3.00)
Dress fancy. Acts confirmed so far; Lethal Bizzle, Chris Stark, Duke Official, The Cradles and The Showhawk Duo.

There are two types of wristbands available.

You can buy the an all inclusive wristband for £80, which will give you access to all Freshers week events in Y Plas and freebies as well as a Freshers Survival Kit.

There is also a cheaper budget option, priced at £45, giving you access to all Freshers week events in Y Plas except the Freshers Ball and a Welcome Party T-shirt.
