The fourth series of Sherlock is going to be filmed in Cardiff

Keep your eyes peeled Cumberbatch fans

The filming of BBC drama Sherlock Holmes begins in Spring and it will be in the South of Wales.

Episodes have previously been filmed in Europe’s third best capital, and now Cumberbatch as Holmes and Martin Freeman as Dr Watson will be gracing us with their presence once more. Majority of filming will take place in Wentloog at Pinewood Studio Wales. For die hard fans, this is just on the outside of Cardiff, a short car journey. Following the New Year special we learnt Moriarty is officially dead, and now we are waiting with baited breath as to what will happen next.

Politics and History student Grace Perks said: “Too much excitement.” Location filming is rumoured to be taking place in and around South Wales, so it is inevitable – Sherlock MUST be coming Cardiff. The series is to be aired on theBBC next year. Physio Therapy second year Noemie Dower said: “Cardiff has so much cool stuff going on. Sherlock should do a collaboration for Doctor Who.”
