Cardiff ranked 35th best university in the UK

That’s 10 places above Swansea looooooooooool

Nationally Cardiff University was ranked the 35th best university in The Sunday Times’ Good University Guide.

The rankings are based on entry standards, student satisfaction, research quality and graduate prospects.

Cardiff University had the highest UCAS requirements in Wales and were ranked 35th nationally – whereas Swansea were placed four ranks below Cardiff MET at 80 and 84th.

Our research quality slid into fifth place in the entire nation. This is based on the research intensity and the number of staff who were submitted to the Research Excellence Framework.

Graduate prospects were ranked in the top 20 – meaning that if you don’t want to move back home to mum and dad after university you’re on the right tracks.

It’s not all good news though, overall our total ranking has dropped four places since 2016 and our student satisfaction placed at a lowly 64th. But hey, at least we beat Swansea.
