Stay calm, Cardiff’s first cat cafe will be opening this summer

Paws for a minute and read the good news

The Feline Good Cat Cafe will become Cardiff’s first cat cafe as an unused office in Gabalfa is currently undergoing transformation to become a brand new tearoom with cats, confirmed to be opening this July.

Say hello to Ash and Winston!

The Cafe will be playing host to seven cats, located in Meridian Court, a ten-minute walk from Taly South.

The furry friends have all come from Mittens, a rescue unit helping cats all across the South of Wales.

One of the goals of the cafe is to rehome the cats, who can be adopted by customers if the staff deem them comfortable and prepared to move to a new home.

Ash will be just one of the cats at the cafe

Hollie Bowler-Brown, an organiser behind the cafe, fund-raised for the cafe’s opening through an Indiegogo campaign, in total raising £6000.

The wellbeing charity, NewLink Wales, have been supporting the creation of Wales’s first cat cafe, the tearoom being a place where cat-lovers can come together and relax with an array of sandwiches, cakes, and drink.
