Here’s why you should start writing for The Cardiff Tab
From student writers to meme makers, we want you
It's a given that most UK students have heard of The Tab and if you haven't then where have you been? Living under a rock?
It's the UK's most read student newspaper and we are on the search for student writers from Cardiff University, Cardiff Met, and USW who want to join our Cardiff Tab team.
If you are civilised and have heard of The Tab, then you'll most definitely come along to our open meeting on Monday 30th September.
But just in case you need them, here's a handful of reasons why you should join The Cardiff Tab:
We write stories that students WANT to read
We are students writing for students. From reporting that waiting times for the Counselling and Wellbeing team are growing at an alarming rate to the visa crisis for international students, The Cardiff Tab are dedicated to reporting stories that students truly care about.
Even when the news gets all doom and gloom, we write about campus life with our clubbers of the week updates, nightlife news and even dating help.
To gain journalism experience
The Tab is one of biggest student publications in the whole of the UK, which stretches across 40 plus UK Universities.
After joining The Tab as students, Tab alumni have gone on to work at BBC, Vice, Buzzfeed, The Times, The Telegraph, Vogue and so many more national and even international media companies.
The Cardiff Tab can teach you skills and offer you experiences that will put you in good stead for the world of journalism.
Even if you're unsure if journalism is for you, being part of The Cardiff Tab allows you to dip your toes in and test the waters.
Because it's really fun
We know all of the Cardiff gossip before anyone else does. We have banging socials too, so you're always in for a good time.
So if you're feeling keen and want to get involved with The Cardiff Tab, then come along to our open meeting, join our contributors page on Facebook or DM us on Insta!
