On your bike: The new SU cycle lane is finally back up and running

The brand new cycle lane was completed last month, but was then closed for works by Welsh Water just days after it opened.

Welsh Water told the Cardiff Tab they expected the works to last for four weeks, and they have now been completed.

There was also work to resurface the trees along the route.

There were previous issues with cars parking in the cycle lane, which the council said they would be able to enforce against once the lane was complete.

You can now cycle all the way down the route

The lane is Cardiff's first separated cycle lane, and is one of five due to be built across the city, aiming to make cycling a "safer, faster and more comfortable experience."

Cyclists can now cycle in the new lane all the way from St Andrew's Place to the Woodville at the top of Senghenydd Road.
