King’s ranked 61st in new global league table

Still better than LSE

King’s is the 61st best university in the world, according to new rankings released by the American media hotshots at US News.

The news follows King’s’ top twenty success in the QS World Rankings, which rated us 19th in the world just last month.

However US News was significantly less generous, rating King’s academic prowess behind that of Imperial (18th) and fierce rivals UCL (22nd).

But even so, the “Strand Poly” still came out on top of LSE, who trailed in 327th place – a whopping 165 places behind everyone’s insurance choice, Queen Mary.

US News also ranked King’s as the 7th best university in the UK – exactly the same position revealed by The Times Higher Education Rankings earlier this month.

The rankings were based on the research performance of each university, as well as ratings from “members of the academic community”.
