Lancaster University announces updated Covid restrictions to students
Lateral flow supplies will be available until they run out
Issy BarkerLancaster University has released new covid guidelines following updates in government Covid laws.
New government guidelines state that self-isolation is no longer necessary in the case of a positive test and that free testing for the general public will be unavailable from April 1st.
One of the university’s main regulations is that students and staff stay away from communal areas on campus if they are positive for coronavirus or have infectious symptoms.
Students should use Connect Lancaster to report positive test results or symptoms to the university.
The uni’s lateral flow supplies will be available until they run out. However, they will be aiming to get more if more become available.

As per the government guidelines, staff and students are no longer required to test twice-weekly to work or study on campus. Still, Lancaster University recommends that all members of the community should get vaccinated.
Guidance on the use of face coverings and ventilation on campus remains in place.
