The Tab’s top 5 things to do in sunny Leicester
Summer has finally come!
As this years revision traumas are replaced by wondering when when its time have another drink, it seems the sun is slowly beginning to make a well overdue appearance in Leicester. Here at the Tab taken some time out of revising to find you the best things to do in sunny Leicester.
Number 1 – Sunbathing
Vicky Park provides the perfect opportunity for the student tanner, realistically if the trek to the green pastures of the Park is too far any small patch of grass in a student garden provides an adequate opportunity.
Reading whilst sunbathing makes you well-red
Number 2 – Pub
Student + Free Time = Alcohol consumption. Combine the summer sunshine with this equation and you’ve got yourself a trip to the local pub’s beer garden with a cold cider in hand.
That one quick drink at the pub, 5 hours later at Shabang.
Number 3 – Ice cream
For a more PG option to the summer ciders, no sunny day is complete without an ice cream! The classic ice cream van is a cheap an cheerful trip down memory lane, or if you really want a taste of luxury Madisons ice cream is your sweetest bet!
Number 4 – Shopping
No summer can be complete without the summer wardrobe. Realistically the 20 outfits we buy on impulse when the sun sneaks out from the clouds may be overkill for the 3 days of British summer- oh well, there is always next summer!
Good things come in all shapes and sizes, we had to have them all.
Number 5 – Procrastination
The final and most important of the Tabs top 5 is procrastination. Leave those books collecting dust on the desk, go outside and forget about the summer work load- it can wait for a rainy day!
Don’t worry they aren’t going anywhere, but you are!
