Today is the big day and there’s a lot of action to cover. Here is what should be coming up.
Mixed Golf are teeing things off on the final day of competition, they start at 10am.
Indoor Cricket 2nd’s are underway at Midday, as Men’s Squash 2nd’s, Chess, Dodgeball and Women’s Lacrosse all get their biggest matches of the season underway at midday.
Indoor Cricket 1st’s will then follow in their footsteps as they try to hit DMU for six. They’re under way at 1.30.
2pm sees the start of much of todays action, with Men’s Squash 1st’s getting under way. Women’s Volloeyball, Men’s Tennis 1st’s, Men’s Hockey 1st’s also begin their campaigns.
@ULHCMens match starts at 2pm and ours at 3:30pm (all at the Manor Road Pitches). Come along and watch us! #VARSITY @PercyGee

Over at Stoughton Road the Men’s 4th, 3rd and 2nd teams will kick off 90 minutes of hard action, hoping to follow in the footsteps of the 1st’s. Men’s Lacrosse are also in action.

Women’s Rugby look to continue their 10 year winning streak this evening at Welford Road from 6.30. It’s a tough day for the ladies as some of them will also be making their way to the UEA to compete in the Cup Final, before attempting to return to Welford Road in time for Varsity.
The Men’s team round things off from 8pm.
A lot has happened over the course of the last few weeks of hard competition, so here’s a summary of the way things stand.
Team Leicester dived straight in, literally, as Swimming got the biggest fixtures of the season off to a flying start. The A team won their competition, whilst the B team drew.
Away from the pool, Women’s Football took the pitch and fought valiantly during the first 90 minute Women’s varsity match, but were overcome 4-1 on penalties.
Fortunately the balance was restored with a Men’s victory, defeating DMU 3-1. It’s a good job none of them had to try and hit the crossbar though.
Leicester’s great start continue as the Leicester Equestrian team rode off into the sunset after thrashing DMU 67-345.

Ski and Snowboard showed off their skills with a confident 5-2 victory.
The deficit was somewhat reduced after the Basketball which saw the Women’s 2nd’s and the Men’s 1st’s lose to DMU. The Women’s 1st’s and Men’s 2nd’s were able to secure victory in their matches, with the Women securing an 81 – 31 win.

Leicester battled their way back on to the right track after that though with convincing wins in both the Men’s and Women’s Fencing with scores of 135-90 and 135-70 respectively.
DMU were rampant at the Tennis though, winning both the Women’s 1st’s and Men’s seconds by fairly large margins.
Badminton was up next as Leicester fought to restore a significant lead in the overall standings. Both mixed teams were able to clinch victory with wins of 7-2 and 6-0. Men’s 2nd’s followed suit, winning 7-1, as the Women’s 1st’s thrashed DMU 8-0. The Men’s 1st’s secured a 4-4 draw.
All good things must come to an end though and unfortunately the Boat Club fell foul out on the river as they lost 5-2. Somewhat of a turn around from last years thumping win for Leicester.
Mixed Hockey were unable to secure victory in their match as a fixture went to penalties for the second time this year. They lost 4-3. It didn’t stop them celebrating though.

Having meandered through the forest of averageness, Leicester emerged stronger and better than before and are currently on a 6 fixture winning streak.
ULNC were able to beat DMU in every one of their matches, with the development squad winning 29-13. The 3rd’s demolished the poly 50-14 and the 2nd’s followed suit with a 51-17 victory.
The 1st’s double DMU’s score, winning 50-25 in their match.
So proud of #ULNC today, smashing the poly 4-0! It wasn’t a win, it was anannihilation #thanksforcoming #dmwho pic.twitter.com/fhlbuFV2LU

Tae Kwon Do were able to keep the steamroller moving as they beat our not-so-noisy neighbours 18 – 8.
Indoor Ultimate Frisbee gave DMU a hard time as well as they secured a relatively easy 3 – 0 win.
