It has been nearly two weeks since Jason Fyles went missing. Police, family and friends continue to search, his picture has been spread all over social networks, but there is still no sign.

This morning an update was posted stating
“The Police are continuing to check CCTV and have used specialist search/rescue teams along with sniffer dogs. This includes the surrounding areas of Sandyford, all the local parks, Jesmond Dene and the rivers.

Unfortunately, he appears to have managed to evade every CCTV camera in the area which has been checked so far. We’re still trying to get his face out there though to get people to come forward.

Any further distribution of the leaflet below or the one we designed earlier would be appreciated. Someone, somewhere will have seen him.”

There has been a huge effort, both locally and further afield to spread the word about Jason’s disappearance in the hope that someone will recognise him and be able to help with enquiries.

His friends and family released a statement on the Facebook page:
“Jason, we miss you so much. All of your friends and family are worried sick and just want to give you a big hug.

Since your disappearance we have been doing all we can to raise awareness to ensure your safe return. The entire North East is looking for you! We just want to help you through whatever it is that is troubling you. Please come home soon.”

Police are continuing to appeal for the Good Samaritan who spoke with Jason on the night of his disappearance and believe speaking to him will help understand Jason’s state of mind on the night he disappeared.

It’s possible this person has left Newcastle for Summer already, but continuing to like and share the Facebook page will help spread the word.

Keep up the search, keep sharing and spreading the word. There may be people with information who just haven’t been reached yet.

Please watch and share CCTV footage of Jason on the metro released today. You never know what will jog someone’s memory.
