Digi to hold club night dedicated to Avicii on Friday 18th May
Great music, even better cause
Vasileia PapazoglouNewcastle's renowned superclub Digital have announced they are holding a night to remember world class DJ Avicii who died on 20th April. Elektriqa and Lonz will be hosting the event on Friday 18th May, during Mental Health Awareness Week, where they will play the music of one of EDM's most inspiring producers and DJs. Photographer Lonz says they are really excited about the event as "everyone’s donating their time and expertise, including the promoters, venue and DJs".
Tickets for the event are £5 plus booking fee or if you are wanting to donate more, there are £10 or £20 tickets available too. All the proceeds are going towards Men's Mental Health Charity MIND which provides services across Tyneside and Northumberland to help and support locals who are experiencing mental health problems.
If you cannot make that date there is a JustGiving page where you can donate money instead which will also go to the charity. The organisers will also be running competitions in the next few days to give away free tickets and will offer donations on the winner’s behalf.
