Notts Uni ranked one of the best in the world

It’s official – QS World Uni Rankings name Notts Uni as one of world’s best

New subject rankings show Nottingham University is one of the best in the world.

Notts is now amongst the world’s top 200 institutions in 29 out of 30 subjects, according to the new QS World Uni Rankings.

The rankings also show 16 UoN subjects are in the top 100 and eight are in the top 50.

An increasingly awesome place to be

The QS rankings survey more than 3,000 universities across 50 countries, with Notts finishing in 9th for Pharmacy 28th for Education, 34th for Agriculture and 34th for Law.

Other subjects like English, Linguistics, Accounting and Geography sit comfortably in the top 50.

The news comes not long after UoN was voted the top choice for graduate employers, leading the way ahead of Cambridge (3rd) and Oxford (4th).

It’s not just in Varsity that we’re quite literally leagues above

Overall, Notts is 75th in the world, almost 10 times better than our underdog rivals at Trent, who are unfortunately ranked 701st.

We do, apparently

Dr Paul Greatrix, Registrar, said: “To be placed so highly by subject out of so many universities across the globe, is testament to the exceptional standards at Nottingham.”

Nottingham was also placed 9th in the UK by the established Shanghai Jiao Tong World Rankings 2013. It seems like for Notts, the only way is up from here.
