1. Cracked China @ New Theatre
Monday and Tuesday, 8pm, £3
The offering from the Fringe season this week ponders the results of what happens when you act on what you “should” do, as opposed to what you want.
2. Romeo and Juliet @ New Theatre
Wednesday – Saturday, SOLD OUT
New Theatre put their spin on Shakespeare’s classic romantic tragedy this week. And they’re getting well snazzy with their YouTube trailers.

3. Sinfonia and Viva Voce @ Trent Building
Sunday, 7.30pm, £5
Student run orchestra and choir combine this weekend for an epic programme of Rossini, Borodin and Vaughan-Williams, as well as a premier of a new piece by uni alumnus Ed Denham.
4. Royal Philharmonic Orchestra @ Nottingham Royal Concert Hall
Friday, 7.30pm, £5 with a GoClassics Card
An all American programme at the Concert Hall. You’ll be doing a good deed too because money raised from the concert goes to three major cancer charities.
Monday – Saturday, times vary, £16+
Deemed “ridiculously funny” by The Times, this play direct from the West End emulates Fawlty Towers as an accident prone theatre company attempt to present a 1920s murder mystery.
6. Lunchtime Concerts @ Djanogly Recital Hall
Tuesday and Friday, 1.15pm
Man Choir – you guessed it, an all male choir – perform on Tuesday. Friday is flute choir and Momentum Saxophone Quartet. As always, these concerts are FREE!
7. The Mikado @ Duchess Theatre, Long Eaton
Tuesday – Friday, 7.30pm, £8
The Gilbert and Sullivan Society put on their annual run of shows. This year is The Mikado, a satire of British politics, set in Japan. Confused? Go check it out.
8. Revival Gospel Choir @ Lenton Methodist Church
Friday and Saturday, 7.30pm
The Revival Gospel Choir stage their Easter celebrations on Friday and Saturday. Pop along for modern and traditional gospel tunes
9. Charity Open Mic Night with Working in Tandem @ The Ropewalk
Thursday, 7.30pm, £3
Working in Tandem’s open mic nights are a great way to check out the talent the uni has to offer, while supporting a great cause in Tanzania.
10. Amber Run @ Nottingham Contemporary
Wednesday, 8pm, £6
UoN drop outs Amber Run come back to Nottingham for the start of their spring tour – well worth a listen.
