Prowler picked parts and broke hearts on Jubilee

| UPDATED

Police are appealing for information following the pilfering of parts from bikes on Jubilee campus.

This theft occurred on Thursday 13th Nov around 1pm and parts were stolen from the bike shed near the Atrium.

CCTV footage, released today by Notts police, shows a white man of average build, entering the bike shed.

The police are urging any witnesses to come forward to help them find the crook.

Computer science student Alex, whose department is near the bike shed, told The Tab: “It makes me sick to think that my hallowed place of learning was desecrated in this way.

“I’m going to find it hard to sleep at night after this.”

Over 3000 bikes are nicked annually from Nottinghamshire and an initiative was launched by the force in October 2013 to curb the number of thefts.

The scheme uses hi tech ‘capture bikes’ which trick potential thieves into stealing them before revealing their location to coppers.

If you recognise him call Notts Police on 101, quoting incident 541 of 13 November 2014, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
