Single for Valentine’s Day? Sign up for Nottingham Goes Dating and find your perfect match
Who needs Tinder when you have The Tab
Even though the new year began literally yesterday, somehow it is already February. And if you didn’t already realise from the onslaught of pink and heart covered tat that greets you when you enter literally any shop, Valentine’s Day is just round the corner.
I’m not sure V Day is anyone’s favourite holiday and if it is may I ask, why? For most single people, it’s time of feeling lonely as you click through the many, many stories of people you know celebrating their partners and gloating about how happy they are. If this applies to you then we have a solution.
We are introducing Nottingham Goes Dating to help you find someone to cuddle away the last of the cold nights with before we head into spring. If you’re fed up of swiping endlessly through Tinder, Hinge and Bumble then back to Tinder again, sign up and allow the The Tab Notts team to hand select a blind date for you.
What actually is this and how does it work?
Based on responses to a (very scientific and comprehensive) questionnaire, we will pair up two people up who we think are, hopefully, well suited to each other. They will then go out on a blind date knowing nothing about the other person beforehand bar their name.
As it is a blind date, The Tab Notts team will make a reservation for the date based on both your availability and tell you the time and place, but then the rest is up to you.
Afterwards, you will then fill in a post date feedback questionnaire. You must be comfortable with your answers to be included in an upcoming article with your name and photo. Sadly there are no exceptions to this condition.
So, how do I sign up?
To sign up, simply fill out our quick questionnaire to tell us a little bit about who you are and what you’re looking for.
We’ll read through the responses and if we think there is a match, we’ll send you a message to organise the details of your date. Remember to keep your Facebook and Instagram DMs open!
We accept and encourage applicants from all backgrounds, genders, and sexualities. Applicants must be university students from either University of Nottingham or Nottingham Trent University.
