Cambridge students looking for ball tickets end up on transsexual porn site.
The TabA Cambridge college was left red-faced after students trying to buy tickets for their annual ball ended up on transsexual porn.
Students looking for information about Selwyn Snowball were given an almighty shock when they used a .com at the end of the address.
Selwynsnowball.com is a porn site advertising ‘shemale and fucking’, while selwynsnowball.co.uk is sells £70 tickets to the college’s winter event.

The ball’s decadent Victorian theme invites readers to “yield to temptation” but in the case of its .com cousin, The Tab encourages you not to.
The porn portal offers: “Daily updated thumbnail picture and movie galleries!” and a diverse collection of content ranging from “First time with shemale… Porn Archive Fetish Content” to “Pantyhose shemales Tranvestites Tranny”.
The unfortunate coincidence was discovered when Selwyn third year Adam Gray posted a Facebook status with the wrong address.
He wrote: “This year’s snowball promises to be better than ever”, before directing others to the porn website.
The post that raised the alarm
He told The Tab: “I have to say, I was pretty astonished when I stumbled across it – I almost dropped my skinny chai latte!”
Snowball president Tom Walsh was good natured enough to ‘like’ Gray’s post.
He told The Tab: “Back in 2011, someone decided that the Snowball website gets enough traffic for it to be worth misdirecting some of its visitors. They weren’t wrong – this year, the official website has received thousands of hits.
“We’d rather spend our guests’ £69 on great food, drink and entertainment than on pursuing a slightly dodgy company from LA. Nevertheless, we apologise for any upset that may be caused to people who actively type in the .com address”.
