Police have warned of freezing conditions in Oxford tonight and tomorrow morning, as we face a week of Siberian weather.

The big freeze that struck Oxford this weekend – after a warm spell last week – is set to continue, with wind gusts of up to 34mph making it feel like -11C until 3am tomorrow morning.

Snow started falling earlier

Met Office ‘feels like’ temperatures, which take into account wind gusts and humidity levels, show that temperatures will drop as low as -11C tonight.

Students walking home late at night have been warned to wrap up warm, as winds sweep in icy weather from Siberia.

Forecasters predict sub-freezing temperatures for the rest of the week.
