Street Style: Week one

All these people dressed better than you this week

The Tab braved the streets of Oxford this week to find the best of what Oxford’s style conscious and autumn fashion have to offer. Ladies and gents, we bring you the finest array of denim and leather since Faith, George Michael, 1987…

Grace, Mansfield

All blue e’erythang

Tackling the cruel task of unlocking her bike on a hangover but pulling off the season’s hottest colour effortlessly (the cobalt coat was actually nabbed from a friend that morning).

Ed, New & Luke, Magdalen

Double trouble

Ed puts a spin on an otherwise ordinary coat with rolled up sleeves and Docs while Luke toughens up a traditional skinnies-and-tee combo with leather boots and jacket.

Alice, Teddy Hall

These boots were (not) made for walking (cobbles)

The ‘blue and green should not be seen’ rule falls like a feather on previous night’s Wahoo stairs as Alice perfectly pairs a light denim with marl sweater, smartening up with stunning ankle boots.

Bianca, Queen’s

MatricuLASS

Some seriously admirable subfusc personalisation for a sartorially stylish completion of an otherwise not so classy matriculash.

Camille, Keble

We’re not in Kansas anymore

The eye-catching red boots and scarf brought some much-needed colour to a dreary day and sea of black and white fresher penguin look-alikes.

Tom, St Catz

Your classic British chap

A Barbour is always a safe choice for appearing put-together; well done for sporting a more unusual model

Chloe, Hertford

All black e’erythang

Black will always be the new black.

Mahoro, Brasenose

One sumptuous sheepskin

Mahoro demonstrates superbly that sheepskin coats look just as appropriately stylish on guys as they do on girls.

Eva, UCL and Alexander, Kellogg

Overwhelmed by the cuteness

The matching preppy/equestrian chic is just too much for our hearts.

Jasmine, Brasenose

Blending in with Oxford buildings with the outfit colour palette

As shown here, often less is more.

Modelled after many world flags, indeed a failsafe colour combination

The simplicity of this outfit is what makes it so timelessly elegant, and eternally Oxford.

Dress just as well or better for a chance to be spotted by one of our street photographers next week.
