Student houses at Sheffield Uni are cheapest in the UK, study says

Property experts sellhousefast.uk have found that rented accommodation in Crookes, Broomhall and Eccy Road is the best value for money out of the UK's major student cities.
Taken from a pool of the UK’s top 14 universities, the study chose institutions which were amongst the highest enrolled across the UK and were repeatedly successful in student satisfaction rankings.
The company calculated their findings by looking at the number of rental properties available for students within a one mile radius of the uni campus, where Sheffield has 938 properties, placing it 5th on the list.
However, the average rent per accommodation in Sheffield was the lowest average at £863 (per calendar month), placing Sheffield on top. The findings do not specify how many people are renting in each accommodation.
Coventry Uni came second at £917 pcm, while Uni of Birmingham rounded off the top three cheapest student renting locations at £1,028 pcm.
The worst uni for rent was King’s College London, with an average room costing £5,953 (pcm). The Uni of Bristol was fifth worst.
Compared to average student rent prices in Sheffield, Kings is £5,090 more expensive – that could get you an extra 1018 £5 rounds a month.
