There has been a massive increase in the number of people successfully crashing May Balls, it has emerged today.

At least 30 PEOPLE successfully crashed St. John’s Ball last night (Tuesday) and at least 10 crashed Downing.

St. John’s Ball president Ian Ralby had been quoted before the ball as saying that it would boast the "strictest ever" controls on gatecrashing.

EASY

One student who gained entry to BOTH St. John’s and Downing described security as "lax" and crashing as "easy."

The Tab understands that most of those who crashed Downing did so by pretending to work at the ball.

"At about 1am, workers who had completed a shift were allowed to exchange their wristbands for guest wristbands. We just joined the queue and were given a wristband. I COULDN’T BELIEVE HOW EASY IT WAS," one crasher explained.

It is not yet clear how so many students gained entry to John’s Ball.
