Monday 14th February

7.30 pm: The Creation, St. John’s College Chapel.
Allan Clayton (tenor), Heal Davies (bass), The Choir of St. John’s College, Andrew Nethingsha (conductor) and The Britten Sinfonia perform Haydn’s Creation.

11 pm: Fitz Barbershop, The ADC, £6.
Award winning barber shop group, all-male a cappella that you probably know from may balls. Oh, and they recently sang for the PM, which is pretty cool.

Tuesday 15th February

1.10 pm: CUMS lunchtime concert, West Road Concert Hall.
Cambridge University Collegium Musicum. Biber (Battalia and Sonata Representativa), Farina (Capriccio Stravagante) and Schmelzer (Fechschule).

7 pm: Teddy Thompson, The Junction, £14.
British folk-rock singer and critics favourite tours to support his new album Bella. Well written songs, personal lyrics and charming live performances, thoroughly recommended.

10.00 pm: New Music Ensemble Concert, Jesus College Chapel.
The New Music Ensemble play works by Mark Simpson, Anthony Friend and Kate Whitley.

Wednesday 16th February

7 pm: Feeder, The Junction, £23.
‘It’s got a CD player, player. Player…’ After having the honour of featuring on the Cindies DJ’s playlist Feeder come to Cambridge to support their new album. Expect millions of overgrown emos and menarchich teens throwing underwear at the stage.

7.30 pm: An Evening with Gilbert and Sullivan, West Road Concert Hall.
The Cambridge University Gilbert and Sullivan Society play selections from Gilbert and Sullivan.

11.00 pm: Dido and Aeneas, ADC.

Thursday 17th February

7 pm: The Hold Steady, The Junction, £15.50.
Riff focused guitar work from nerdy jazz-rockers, what’s not to love? Narrative lyrics and intelligently written music. Daniel Radcliffe loves them, but so do critics so fear not.

8.00 pm: Chamber music at Kettle’s Yard.
The Doric String Quartet. Haydn (String Quartet Op. 20/6), Mendelssohn (String Quartet No. 5) and Berg (Lyric Suite).

10 pm: Itchy Feet, The Junction, £5.
Swing, Soul, Funk, Rhythm & Blues, Rock n Roll and Ska. Nomadic club promoters putting on alternateiv nights with fantastic DJs and music. Imagine a club night where the music isn’t just bearable but enjoyable; there you go.

Dowland, Handel, Vivaldi, Traditional Welsh Songs.

8.00 pm: CCMS recital, Christ’s College Chapel.

9.00 pm: Mahler Centenary Concert, Girton College Chapel.
Girton College Chamber Orchestra directed by Chad Kelly. Mahler (Lieder enies fahrenden Gesellen, Symphony No. 4).

11.00 pm: Dido and Aeneas, ADC.

Saturday 19th February

6.30 pm: Maxim Kosinov, Clare College Chapel.
Maxim Kosinov (violin) plays Bach (Partita No. 2 in Dm, Sonata No. 3 in C, Partita No. 3 in Em).

7.30 pm: Mahler Centenary Concert, Great St. Mary’s.
Girton College Chamber Orchestra directed by Chad Kelly. Mahler (Lieder enies fahrenden Gesellen, Symphony No. 4).

8.00 pm: CCMS recital, West Road Concert Hall.
Clare College Music Society. Shostakovich (Festival Overture), Tchaikovsky (Violin Concerto), Sibelius (Symphony No. 7).

Sunday 20th February

12 pm: Sunday Coffee Concert, Kettle’s Yard
The Wu String Quartet play Hoad, Montague, Ligeti and Piazzolla.

1.15 pm: Promenade Concert, The Fitzwilliam Museum.

2.30 pm: GCMS Sunday Aftertoon Concert, Girton College, Stanley Library.
