Benga Headlines Bangin’ Freshers’ Line-Up

Benga, one of the founding fathers of dubstep, is set to play in Cambridge at new night, Freshly Baked, during Freshers’ Week.

Since releasing his first single “Skank” back in 2002, the DJ and producer from Croydon has gained international acclaim and played in basements and stadiums around the world.

Wump wump wump wump.

Now, having just returned from the electronic music festival Creamfields, it has been confirmed that Benga will be performing at the Freshly Baked Night on Thursday the 10th of October in the “newly refurbished” Revolution. Benga’s gig is part of the ‘7 Events in 7 Days’ organised by C.R.E.E.M and Freshly, the pair of which have teamed up to provide plenty of entertainment during this year’s Freshers’ Week.

When I searched for ‘Revolution Cambridge Nightclub’ this came up.
I thought you should know.

After calling Cindies “mediocre”, Billy Young, one of the organisers of the event, informed The Tab of his excitement: “This is about the resurgence of quality evening entertainment in the clubs and bars of our city.

There are drinks deals in abundance and discounted early-bird wristbands means that it needn’t break the bank. Our C.R.E.E.M. DJs will be spinning an eclectic mix of urban classics and electronic bangers to keep you dancing throughout.”

The roof actually looks quite nice. Why do we never go here, again?

C.R.E.E.M and Freshly are offering wristband deals for the week (kind of like a festival, if you missed out this Summer) on their Facebook page. It is however, at the time of writing, not possible to get tickets online. C.R.E.E.M says they’re working on that.

Edit: We’ve just been reliably informed you can get tickets here.
