Each character is a caricature, spanning innocent to lustful, and each with their own story. A day passes in a parochial Welsh town; the characters appear and disappear in a whirlwind of movement.

Brickhouse Theatre Company’s puts on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar, an absolute classic. Set in a modern context, this vibrant rock opera returns to Cambridge after a decade.

Evan Davis is an economist, journalist and presenter well-known for presenting the BBC2 business reality show Dragons’ Den, the current affairs programme Newsnight and the business discussion programme The Bottom Line. Formerly, Evan was the Economics Editor of the BBC for six and a half years before becoming a presenter on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme.

DEBATE: “This House Believes the Sexualisation of the Music Industry is Bad for Society“

Thursday 25th February, 7:30pm

The Union asks whether the increasingly sexualised imagery and lyrics in music are having a damaging effect on society. Are we normalising potentially damaging language and views or is this the next step in autonomy over one’s body and voice? The Union will explore whether the industry is a symptom of society’s problems or a cause.

Mark Hamill is an actor, writer and producer. Most famous for his film debut as Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy, he recently reprised this role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Hamill is also well-known for voice acting, particularly for his critically acclaimed performances as The Joker, for which he won a BAFTA Games Award. Hamill is a co-writer of The Black Pearl comic book miniseries.
