EXCLUSIVE: Robinson May Ball announce new headliner

Due to personal reasons United Vibrations sadly can no longer perform at Robinson May Ball, however, as ever Robinson have pulled it out the bag, replacing them with Chainska Brassika.

Described by BBC 1Xtra as ‘real musicians, real band, real brass section… fabulous and so refreshing’, this mischievous rabble from London have been spreading their contagious horn-driven anthems across the UK, Europe and beyond. This year, the band released their second LP, produced by double Grammy award winning producer Stephen Stewart. These guys will definitely be bringing the party to Robinson.

Chainska will be joined by VANT as dual headliners at Robinson this year. VANT are an indie punk rock band, touring throughout 2015 with Royal Blood and InHeaven and appearing at a multitude of festivals last summer, Glastonbury Festival, 2000 Trees, Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, Reading and Leeds Festivals. This fresh group are definitely a name to look out for as they’re predicted to hit it big next year.

The line-up doesn’t finish there, as Patrick Nazemi, arguably one of the most driven multi-genre DJs around, will be taking the stage. Nazemi takes his musical selections from a deep and vast knowledge of great music. His sets are filled with underground flavours and overground capacity that could whip any crowd into a frenzy. Nazemi has proved himself in almost every setting, from Mumford & Sons arena tours to Craig David TS5 pool parties to countless warehouse raves.

As resident at Ibiza Rocks, one of the island’s best-known and most inclusive events, Patrick regularly entertains crowds of 3,000+ ravers, playing alongside a list of acts befitting of some of the world’s largest festival stages. With a comparatively intimate performance at Robinson, his set looks to be a highlight of the night.

This varied line-up is further complemented by Cambridge’s finest student acts and entertainers, with notable performances from ex-Footlights Jordan, Sam & Guy as Pelican and singer-songwriter Kieran Daly for those preferring acoustic vibes.
