Crosstown Cambridge to give away free doughnuts

The bakery is celebrating its limited-edition vegan collaboration with nut butter specialists, Pip & Nut

From 12pm on Wednesday (30/03), Crosstown Doughnuts’ Cambridge store will be giving away free doughnuts and almond butter to the first 200 customers who come to their store.

This is to celebrate the launch of their new limited edition products, created with nut butter specialists Pip & Nut; the Almond Butter Cinnamon Scroll doughnut and the Cinnamon Scroll Almond Butter, both of which are vegan.

Crosstown describes the new limited-edition doughnut, which normally retails at £4.50, as a “vegan cinnamon scroll, filled with homemade custard featuring Pip & Nut’s Smooth Almond Butter, topped with an almond butter glaze, and finished with a roasted almond nib crumble.”

The almond butter, created by Pip & Nut and retailing at £3.25 for 170g, is described as “an almond butter inspired by Crosstown’s breakfast classic, the Cinnamon Scroll doughnut. Flavours of Mexican agave, Zanzibari cinnamon and hand-picked Tongan vanilla are expertly blended with Pip & Nut’s signature almond butter”. This butter will be available from the Crosstown and Pip & Nut websites for nationwide delivery, as well as at Wholefoods, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Holland & Barret, Tesco and Planet Organic, until the end of 2022.
