With Easter in sight, the excitement of that long awaited ski holiday is growing by the day. We all know the importance of looking slick on the slopes; especially if your skiing skills aren’t exactly up to scratch! So what is trending on the Alps this season?

Fur has been a big hit at London Fashion Week. Mulberry, a quintessentially British brand, included in its collection parka’s, coats and gilets all made from a range of different furs. Fur (or faux fur) is all over the high street, so be sure to to add fur to your ski outfit this year whether it be a large luxurious collar, trimmed hood or headband.

If you would prefer a more attention-seeking look on the slopes then head to Topshop. Their collaboration with Ashish includes cosy slogan jumpers and leopard print salopettes, jackets and even matching accessories. Do not be deceived: although the collection is fun the ever-important functionality of the clothing has not been compromised and the materials are wind/waterproof with a soft fleece lining.

If your heading to Switzerland to ski, Moncler style shiny puffa’s with big fur trimmed hoods are a favourite and there are many cheaper alternatives to the super pricey real deal. For men, Penfield is the place to go. Their classic puffa’s are trimmed with tan leather and can be worn on and off the slopes. For girls, the shiny, black puffa is sleek but warm, The Kooples and Uniqlo both have good options.
