Warning over I.T Shop
Dodgy I.T. shop on the Blackboy road
Imogen GroomeJCS hit campus a few months ago with their affordable repair rates, and now they’ve let The Tab know about some dodgy laptop repairs.
Jack Stephens has had complaints from students about an IT shop on Blackboy Road.
Complaints include:
- Not offering receipts (even for charges over £95!)
- Installation of illegal versions of software
- Frying three DC jacks in the past two weeks (the thing that actually plugs into your computer to charge)
He commented: “One laptop is running Windows Home Premium cracked copy as well as Office 2007 cracked licence. The guy who worked on it was even silly enough to leave all the crack instruction files there also.”
Make sure you process this information, or you’re in for a right gigabyte in the arse…
