Thick As Thieves have found a new home

And you’re all invited to the housewarming party

We’re all still recovering from the loss of Cellar Door, and most electronic student nights, including the Thieves, have turned to Cavern in their search to fill this void.

Thick as Thieves have announced however that they have found a possible new venue for their events: Reform, formerly the only shop in Exeter selling techno and drum and bass vinyl.

Laurence Mulchrone, who heads up TAT in Exeter, has hinted that this might be a regular fixture for them in the future, although nothing is set in stone just yet.

The venue is close to the hearts of the Thieves, as that very shop was where they used to buy records for their events, and so it seems like a fitting place for this venture.

This Friday, Reform, located on Fore Street, will play host to a party held by TAT to gauge how the venue will fare in the future, and they are the first to hold a student night in the space.

Laurence said: “We thought we’d put on a free party without the need for tickets or anything like that, with Thick As Thieves residents playing, in the club space upstairs to see how everyone responds.

“If everyone likes it, then we’ll try to hold more events there.”

TaT has made it very clear that branching out to other venues doesn’t mean that they will no longer be holding events at student favourite Cavern, and that events will still be held there, including their third birthday celebration.

“Reform will just hopefully be an addition to the great party spaces we currently have.”

Details of the event can be found on the Facebook event page.
